Launch Transition Agency
The National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency has been established by the Australian Government to implement the first stage of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Agency will be working with all jurisdictions to ensure improved support for people with a disability, their family and carers, and to deliver the first stage of an NDIS.
The first stage of an NDIS will commence from July 2013 in launch sites in South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT, the Hunter in NSW and the Barwon area of Victoria providing care and support for thousands of people with significant and permanent disabilities.
To guide this work David Bowen has been appointed as CEO of the Launch Transition Agency.
