Next steps to address wait times in accessing Early Childhood Early Intervention

Earlier this year the Minister for the NDIS, Stuart Robert, announced several short term measures to resolve some delays for children under seven years of age in accessing Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) supports.

From Monday 12 August, NDIA staff began calling families and carers of children who have been waiting for 50 days or longer since receiving an access decision to discuss the option of a six month plan.

Calls will start in South Australia and subsequently be rolled out in other parts of the country to reduce wait times as soon as possible.
