Sunday 3 December is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a day observed across the world to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability and raise awareness of the barriers people with disability face in their lives.

We teamed up with Paralympian and advocate Karni Liddell and she explains why this day is so important, not just for her, but for all of Australia and the world.

Visit our Facebook page (external) and share Karni's message on your networks and help spread the word.

There are a range of events happening across Australia to mark IDPwD for you to get involved in. A calendar of community events is available on theĀ IDPwD website.
