Today, 22 August 2024, the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) Bill 2024 was passed by the Parliament. The Bill provides the framework to deliver on the NDIS Review’s vision to restore the NDIS to its original intent and deliver better outcomes for Australians with permanent and significant disability within a broader ecosystem of supports. Some of these changes will take time to develop together with people with disability but, once implemented, participants will experience the benefits.

NDIS participants will continue to have access to music and art therapy. From 1 February 2025 how participants access music and art therapy will change. Participants and providers can continue with current arrangements until 1 February when the changes to the price guide come into effect.

The NDIA is inviting registered providers to respond to the Dog Guide Provider List EOI on the NDIS Website. The EOI is open from 25 November 2024 - 20 December 2024. The Agency will be evaluating each submission. The process is non-competitive, meaning each respondent meeting the criteria will be eligible for publication on the list.
