We've made improvements to our webchat to make it easier for participants, nominees, providers and the public to interact with the NDIS National Contact Centre.
The NDIS is establishing a panel to listen and understand more from people with disabilities in harder-to-reach communities. Organisations on this panel will support the NDIA to hear directly from people with disability (incuding their families and carers), with a focus on harder-to-reach commumities. These include people with intellectual disability, cognitive disabilities, people housed in group or hospital settings, and/or people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities. Engagement activities could include things like one-on-one interviews and focus groups. NDIA CEO Martin Hoffman said the Agency has today released three consultation papers about changes to how people access the NDIS, planning and plan flexibility, and early intervention services - the latter supported by the release of a detailed consultation report around best practice Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) reform.
