If you would like to volunteer for the pilot, visit the link in the letter or email you’ve received, or phone us on 1800 800 110.
If you call us, we can take you through a series of questions to record your consent to be involved in the pilot. You can answer these same questions at the link provided in your letter or email.
We will ask you how you would like to be contacted for the assessment appointment and if you will have someone with you at the assessment.
You can decide to have a support person at the assessment for the whole time, or just for parts of the assessment.
We’ll also ask for your consent for this person to talk about your support needs. During the call, you need to tell us if you would like to do your assessment face to face or via video call, and if you will need an interpreter.
Once we have this detail from you, we’ll ask APM to contact you or your nominated person directly, to book your independent assessment appointment.
APM are doing the independent assessments for this pilot. They are an Australian Government contracted provider of disability services.
APM also deliver NDIS Local Area Coordination services. To avoid conflict of interest, APM can only provide the assessments in areas outside of where they deliver NDIS Local Area Coordination services.
