On 1 July 2019, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) commenced operations in all states and territories except Western Australia (WA).
The NDIS Commission is responsible for the registration and regulation of providers in NSW, Vic, Qld, SA, Tas, ACT and the NT.
The NDIA is still responsible for the registration and regulation of providers in WA.
Providers operating in all states and territories except WA will continue to interact with the NDIA for a range of functions including service bookings, payment requests, and viewing participants’ plans in the myplace portal.
The NDIS Commission will commence in Western Australia on 1 July 2020.
