Grants are now open

In June 2024, the Australian Government announced a grant round to fund community-based peer support and capacity building programs.

This peer support and capacity building grant round is now open for application.

Applications close at midday 12pm AEST on the 9th of August.

This is a one-off grant round delivered by the NDIA, providing up to $20 million per year in funding over two years, with the possibility of a one year extension.

Community-based, disability-led organisations who run existing peer support and capacity building programs are eligible to apply.

The NDIA recognises the crucial role these organisations play in the disability ecosystem, helping people with disability to connect with others who have shared similar experiences and build their skills.

More detail can be found on the peer support and capacity building grant round page.

An earlier version of this item listed the closing time of this grant round as 11.59pm AEST on 9 August. This was incorrect.
