The Independent Advisory Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from First Nations people with disability

The Independent Advisory Council (IAC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from First Nations people with disability to join the new IAC First Nations Reference Group (IAC FNRG).

The IAC brings the views and voices of people with disability to the NDIA. They provide independent advice to the NDIA Board. More information about the IAC is available on the IAC website .

Ideal candidates are First Nations people with disability who are connected to their community. 

As part of the Reference Group, you will provide advice to the NDIA, helping influence decisions that directly impact First Nations people with disability.

As a member of the IAC FNRG, you will:

  • Meet at least 4 times a year (including online and face-to-face) to advise on First Nations disability business
  • Provide advice about issues facing First Nations people in your community
  • Listen to others and discuss sensitive matters
  • Be paid for your time.

Once your EOI has been reviewed, we will inform you by early December 2024 about the outcome of your submission.
