The NDIA has released an Inclusive Recruitment guide.
This guide is for NDIS employment providers.
It aims to help providers:
- build relationships with employers
- address employer challenges in finding suitable staff
- promote the benefits of a diverse workforce
- build employer confidence to attract and support a diverse workforce.
The guide offers practical advice, checklists, and tools to help employers build more inclusive workplaces. From recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, to supporting employees to settle into their role and develop their careers.
We developed this guide in consultation with Disability Representative and Carer Organisations (DRCOs), Peaks and NDIS Employment providers. The Centre for Social Impact Swinburne University of Technology also provided input.
