The Australian Government will give $200 million over 3 years to the Inclusive Communities Fund.
The Fund will help people with disability take part in their community.
People can join social, sport, arts and other community activities. They can join local clubs and groups that match their interests. For example, this might include a sports club, theatre group, community garden, volunteering group or other local community organisation.
The Inclusive Communities Fund will give money to community groups. This will help them run activities that more people with disability can join.
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing wants to hear from NDIS participants and community and disability groups.
By having your say, you can share:
- how the Fund can help people with disability connect with their community
- which activities the Fund should support
- which activities are easy to join
- what makes it hard to join community activities
- what could make it easier to join in the future.
Visit the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing consultation page to have your say about the Inclusive Communities Fund by 11.59 pm AEST on 31 August 2026.
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing will open further consultations about changes to the NDIS soon. Follow their consultation hub for more information.
