The South Australian Department of Human Services (DHS) will cease in-kind support coordination services for metropolitan clients on 31 December 2019.
For participants in regional, rural and remote areas of South Australia, DHS is planning to cease delivery of in-kind support coordination by June 2020.
Participants in metropolitan areas with a scheduled plan review after 1 January 2020 will be contacted before January for an earlier plan review to discuss their support coordination needs and connect them with a new registered support coordinator.
Affected participants:
- will keep getting these supports from DHS until support coordination services are included in their NDIS plan. Once the supports are in a plan, a participant can pay for support coordination using their NDIS funds.
- don’t need to do anything – they will be contacted by the NDIA.
