International experts pushing Australia's ability

Cutting edge technology will change the future for people with disability, their families and carers according to international experts speaking at the NDIS New World Conference in Brisbane today.

Daniel Hubbell, Senior Program Manager and Technology Advisor for Microsoft and Dr Jeff Cole the Director of the Centre of the Digital Future in the United States outlined international technological developments that will empower people with disability, and change how disability services are delivered in Australia.

Tunstall Healthcare's Managing Director, Ms Lyn Davies, said this was a critical time for people with disability in Australia.

"As world leaders in assistive technology solutions Tunstall Healthcare is delighted to support the NDIS in bringing these world experts to Australia.

"Supporting the NDIS is the perfect synergy with Tunstall Healthcare's goal to help people with disability, older Australians and people with long term health needs," Ms Davies said.

Tunstall Healthcare is also supporting Australian tech entrepreneurs by providing the winning prize for the Pitch Competition that has been organised in association with the Conference.

"We know for Australia to be at the cutting edge of technology for people with disability we must support our entrepreneurs and their ideas. We were delighted to present the winning prize to AbilityMate – the entrepreneurs behind 3D printable assistive devices. Clickability and Hireup were also worthy finalists.

"The Pitch competition has encouraged start-ups to think about real solutions and technological inventions in the disability sector.
