The medium term accommodation guideline has been updated to provide greater clarity on eligibility criteria and processes, as well as greater consistency in home and living supports planning decisions.
The updated guidelines are simple, clear and easy to use.
They provide greater clarity about home and living supports, and what the NDIS can and can’t fund.
The guidelines provide clarification of current policy and process. They do not reflect any change in current policy.
The medium term accommodation guideline has been updated to:
- explain the need to submit a home and living request form before we fund medium term accommodation in the plan
- provide clearer eligibility criteria for when we will or will not fund medium term accommodation.
