Home and living demonstration projects progress to final project design and implementation phase

Participants and providers have told us about the importance of finding, recognising, and promoting new ways for participants to pursue their home and living goals.

In response, the Agency has established the Home and Living demonstration projects to trial and evaluate alternative models of contemporary home and living supports.

We launched a Market Information Request in September 2021 inviting providers to work with participants to submit a Demonstration Project proposal for supported independent living supports.

The projects were selected based on how they will deliver supports to achieve positive outcomes for NDIS participants.

The following projects will progress to implementation phase from May 2022.

  • GenU
  • Life Without Barriers
  • Lifestyle Solutions
  • Mind Australia
  • Possability
  • Rocky Bay
  • Supporting Independent Living Cooperative (SILC)
  • Uniting Care Qld
  • We Care NSW
  • Yooralla

Each Demonstration Project tests a slightly different way of delivering supports that give greater flexibility, improved outcomes and encourage better practice and Scheme sustainability.
