We are pleased to share the Summary report – outcomes of the Request for Information (RFI) for designing an early childhood assistive technology approach.
The Summary report provides detailed information on responses to the RFI we released in June 2021 and our priority action areas for the early childhood assistive technology project.
The Summary report includes details of innovative approaches that:
- would support a more timely supply of assistive technology (AT)
- improve sustainability through reduced landfill and waste
- provide greater price transparency that gives confidence for families to explore AT options.
This work builds upon the Joint Standing Committee (JSC) recommendations for better access to refurbished AT and the need to prioritise adaptable AT solutions for children, whose needs change as they grow.
