The Australian Government is on track to deliver significant improvements to the NDIS that make it simpler, faster, fairer and more flexible for participants, and their families and carers.

NDIA CEO Martin Hoffman said the Agency has today released three consultation papers about changes to how people access the NDIS, planning and plan flexibility, and early intervention services - the latter supported by the release of a detailed consultation report around best practice Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) reform.

A nationally consistent NDIS quality and safeguards system is now in place across Australia, delivering strong and consistent protections for every participant in the NDIS.

The National Disability Insurance Agency has zero tolerance for fraud against the NDIS and its participants. At no stage has the NDIA agreed that the Agency’s tolerance level for fraud was 10 per cent. Any suggestion to the contrary is wrong. The NDIA’s publicly available Fraud Strategy Statement clearly outlines the Agency’s position.

More than 78,000 Australians have benefited from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), a new report shows.

Twenty-two grants totalling close to $3 million have been awarded to organisations by the NDIA to make the ACT more accessible and inclusive of people with disability.
