Changes to payments and claims from 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026

Providers will need to use the following registration group from the 1st of July 2026 for supports delivered on or after this date:

  • 0138: Supported Independent Living.

Plan managers will receive invoices from SIL providers that state a new line item- 0138.

Providers may still submit claims for SIL supports delivered on or before 30 June 2026 under the old registration group 0115.

The registration group 0115 will still be available for providers to claim for other supports delivered in this category including short term accommodation, medium term accommodation and individualised living options.

Unregistered providers

Plan managers can still pay unregistered SIL providers for supports delivered up to 30 September 2026 if they delivered SIL supports before 1 July 2026.

From 1 October 2026

From 1 October 2026, claims can only be paid where providers meet the new registration requirements. Plan managers should go to the NDIS Commission website to check if a SIL provider is registered or if they have applied for registration.

Plan managers should reject invoices for SIL supports (line item 0138) from SIL providers that are not registered or have not applied to register.
