The Victorian and Commonwealth Governments have announced a $15 million Worker Mobility Reduction Payment initiative. The initiative will enable registered NDIS providers to reduce the movement of support workers between residential disability facilities where possible, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

IRG Meeting: Thursday 3 September, 2020 Membership Update The IRG welcomed Leanne Pearman, Independent Advisory Council (IAC) member, Dr Leanne Beagley, CEO, Mental Health Australia, and Stephen Broadfoot, Branch Manager, Provider Engagement to the group. These included the new 2020-2021 Price Guide and the 1 July 2020 introduction of the change to group support pricing arrangements, while allowing time for providers to adapt to the new structure. The Commonwealth has provided an update on NDIS participants and workforce and COVID-19 for Wednesday, 2 September 2020. The reporting will ensure accurate and timely information is being provided to the community. The data is collated through reporting mechanisms of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission and compiled by the Commonwealth’s NDIS Critical Response Group. The Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the Hon Stuart Robert MP, recently released the NDIS Quarterly Report to disability ministers for Q4 of Y7 for the quarter ending 30 June 2020. The Quarterly Report is a summary of how the Scheme performed from 1 April 2020 to 30 June 2020.
