The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) has taken compliance action against two Victorian-based entities and five associated individuals. Millennium Disability Care Pty Ltd and A.C.N. 615 641 079 Pty Ltd have been issued banning orders, permanently prohibiting them from providing NDIS supports and services to people with disability.
The Independent Advisory Council (the Council) has published their Annual Report 2021-22 and Work Plan 2022-23. These are available on the Council’s website.

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission has taken further compliance action against a Darwin-based individual. Ms Andrea Cooper, former director of New Chapters New Beginnings, was issued a banning order on 13 December 2022 prohibiting her from being involved in the provision of supports and services to NDIS participants for a period of 30 days, effective from 5:00 pm on 16 December 2022.

The latest insight into cerebral palsy participants on the NDIS shows children, adults and their families were seeing a major boost to their independence, choices and social lives. There are 34,000 Australians living with cerebral palsy and 17,334 are active participants on the NDIS.
