Two men accused of defrauding National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants have been banned from delivering NDIS services and are now facing even more serious court penalties, NDIS Minister, the Hon. Bill Shorten MP, said today.
The Government is focused on building the capability of families and carers of children with disability or developmental concerns in early childhood and education and care settings through new resources aimed at boosting inclusivity and building staff and educator capacity.
On this day ten years ago, 1 July, four trial sites across Australia opened their doors and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started to deliver its work. There are now almost 600,000 NDIS participants who have reported increased freedom and control over their lives to go out in their community, to work, make friends and spend their time as they choose.
