The National Disability Insurance Scheme is now available to eligible Australians in all states and territories except Western Australia, after the Scheme rolled out in the last remaining regions and age groups across Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland on 1 January 2019.

Western Australian children with a developmental delay or disability will benefit from an investment of more than $25 million to deliver front line Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

In December last year, the NDIA released a test version of the new NDIS website, as part of a six week trial with the community, asking people to provide feedback on the new site. We are getting closer to the end of the test period and looking to capture as much feedback as possible and prepare to officially move to the new site later in January.

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission will roll out across Vic, Qld, Tas, ACT and NT from 1 July 2019. The NDIS Commission began operating in NSW and SA on 1 July 2018, WA will transition from 1 July 2020.

Today, the NDIA has officially launched a new NDIS website to improve users’ experience online. Minister for Families and Social Services, Paul Fletcher, said consultation and feedback from participants, families, carers, providers and sector representatives had been vital to the development and testing of the new website.
