What is a remote community connector

What a remote community connector is

Remote community connectors (RCCs) work for NDIS partners who help people with disability in remote or very remote communities.

There's a network of about 200 RCCs helping people across 480 remote communities.

What a remote community connector is for

RCCs can help you:

  • understand the NDIS and how to apply
  • with your current supports
  • prepare for check-ins
  • understand how to use your NDIS plan
  • with questions you may have about the NDIS
  • access supports and services
  • with translations services to communicate with us and service providers.

Tip: Remote community connectors are not healthcare professionals.

They can’t provide healthcare support for your disability but can connect you with health professionals in your area.

For example, occupational therapists or a GP.

They can also help connect you with health professionals who can provide you with the evidence you may need when applying or making changes to your NDIS plan.
