Benchmarking surveys and reports

Benchmarking survey overview

The NDIA supports an independently managed and delivered benchmarking survey on the operational models of disability service providers to:

  • assist in the development of a sustainable NDIS market that provides choice to Scheme participants
  • increase the information available to providers to gauge performance against their peers and support their transition to a more open and competitive market
  • inform the Agency's role as market steward and to allow evidence-based decision-making (noting that the Agency only receives de-identified summary information from the survey provider).

Current Survey

The current survey is managed by Deloitte on behalf of the NDIA. It covers services provided in the financial year ending 30 June 2019.

The original closing date for the survey was 15 March 2020. However, it was extended to 30 June 2020, to assist providers during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Registered providers are required to participate in the benchmarking survey if they elect to claim higher price limits, as outlined in the conditions of the Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) in the NDIS Price Guide.

Registered providers eligible to claim the Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) in 2019‒20 were emailed a link to the survey in February 2019. Providers who did not receive the survey request should check their junk and spam email folders.

For further assistance with the survey, email ttpsurvey@deloitte.com.au and a Deloitte representative will respond within three business days.

Benchmarking survey

A report is available with the results from the 615 providers who completed the survey by 15 March 2020.
