The Australian Government is on track to deliver significant improvements to the NDIS that make it simpler, faster, fairer and more flexible for participants, and their families and carers.

The NDIS website and Participant and Provider myplace portals will be temporarily unavailable for scheduled maintenance from 10pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on the 31 March to 7am on 1 April 2018.

The NDIS is establishing a panel to listen and understand more from people with disabilities in harder-to-reach communities. Organisations on this panel will support the NDIA to hear directly from people with disability (incuding their families and carers), with a focus on harder-to-reach commumities. These include people with intellectual disability, cognitive disabilities, people housed in group or hospital settings, and/or people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities. Engagement activities could include things like one-on-one interviews and focus groups.
