The Commonwealth has provided an update on NDIS participants and workforce and COVID-19 as at Tuesday, 25 August 2020. The reporting will ensure accurate and timely information is being provided to the community.
A range of new pricing arrangements for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will begin from 1 July to support the development of a sustainable and vibrant disability services market and lead to better outcomes for NDIS participants.
The “Report on the sustainability of the scheme” for the December quarter 2014 was released today. It shows the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is on time, on budget, has very high participant satisfaction and is incorporating valuable lessons learnt ahead of full-scheme rollout.
Submissions to the Review of Supported Independent Living (SIL) Price Controls Issues Paper are now open. Results of consultation sessions and submissions will inform recommendations presented to the NDIA.
Participants, their families and carers may receive a phone call or SMS to participate in a survey from 1 September to 27 November 2020. The NDIA will use survey results to help identify the types of supports that lead to good outcomes for participants and to improve the NDIS.
The Australian Government is investing $64.9 million in grants to 138 organisations in the disability sector to build the capacity of Australians with disability to participate in and contribute to the community.
