Emerging artist Louise Marson’s story – represented in her first solo exhibition at a public art gallery in Melbourne – is one of loss, grief, isolation, but, perhaps most importantly, hope.

Burnie NDIS participant, Louise Morse is a fighter. She’s just completed 100 Burnie Parkrun’s and she’s not letting an unknown rare neurological disease stop her in her tracks. She’s soldiering on, driven to still get the best out of life.

The 38-year-old’s goal of work and independence combined to spark the idea of her own custom-made candle business.

Daynah Hopkins, 26, is a NDIS participant living in Melbourne. He has an intellectual disability and autism and like so many young Australians, he is a huge lover of sports. Daynah plays cricket, AFL and basketball – but his favourite out of them all is cricket. “I play for the Victorian Vikings, Victoria’s cricket team for players who have intellectual disability. I’ve also played two national-championship winning sides, and I’ve represented Australia twice,” Daynah said.
