In 1974 Kate Watkins got her first Seeing Eye dog, a moment she’ll never forget. She finished high school on the Friday and the following Monday, she was at Lady Nelson Seeing Eye Dogs being matched with Troika, a 2-year-old golden labrador. Sydney author Desney King can’t wipe the smile off her face.
