If you are already receiving disability support services, you will be contacted by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) as the NDIS becomes available in your area.
The NDIA is committed to making sure no NDIS participant under 65 years (under 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) lives in residential aged care unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Find out where to get help if you have concerns about your LAC, early childhood partner, NDIA staff, providers and supports, or if you feel unsafe or pressured.
Providers help you work towards your goals. They may need to understand what your goals are and how they can help you. It’s important that you are comfortable with the way you communicate with your provider. You can communicate in different ways.
The three types of support budgets that may be funded in your NDIS plan are explained: core supports budget, capacity building budget and capital support budget.
If your child is younger than 9 with a disability, or you are concerned about their development, you may be able to get help through our early childhood approach.
